Still Life

—fragile choreography of clouds—

The project features a dual-sided floating screen that immerses viewers in a dynamic inside-outside visual experience. It delves into the interplay between architectural spaces and their occupants—particularly focusing on animals in captivity and the impact of human presence. The accompanying soundtrack weaves in the hum of air-conditioning, symbolizing the buildings' lifeforce, with the jarring noise of visitors tapping on animal enclosures, highlighting the intrusion of their presence.

Collaborating closely with local Wildlife Centers, aquariums and zoos in UAE, USA and Colombia, I studied animal behaviors in confinement to inform the project's exploration of spatial perception through sound and environmental manipulation. This collaboration extended to capturing thermo-sensitive imagery that underscores the artificiality of these spaces, evoking an uncanny aura.
